Gilad Yossifon, Assistant Professor

Research Interests:

Microfluidics, nanofluidics, lab-on-a-chip, electrokinetics

Short Synopsis:

The laboratory focuses on both fundamental as well as application-oriented research towards the development of novel micro- and nano-fluidic devices, involving primarily electrokinetic actuation. The latter include applications areas such as energy (e.g. micro-heat exchangers), healthcare (e.g. Lab-on-a-chip, On-chip electroporation, Dielectrophoretic sorting) and other (e.g. nanochannel sensors).
Current funded (MOST TASHTYOT) collaboration with Prof. Shulamit Levenberg (Technion) and Prof. Dan Peer (TAU) – “A microfluidic System-On-a-Chip platform for parallel single cell screening and analysis based on dielectrophoresis, nanobeads and nanoliter droplets”.
